May assist in capturing voice of customer and development of simple product specifications.
Translates customer needs to manufacturing requirements.
Assists in developing routine test plans from existing test protocol for routine products or components.
The candidate will have responsibilities for the design, layout and document control of power electronics for motor and blower systems.
This will include a knowledge of design for optimized cost and function, with an understanding of the requirements for reliability, EMI and packaging.
Agency submission of power electronics, including US, European and China, will be a position responsibility.
This position will be responsible for communications with suppliers of components and of final PCB assemblies.
- The ability to work as part of a cross-functional team and with team members located on other International and US locations is required.
BSEE or equivalent education with demonstrated understanding in the design, production and maintenance of power electronics.
High level of personal initiative, energy and sense of ownership for the product and the processes.
Excellent written and oral communications and computer skills.
Knowledgeable in techniques for field analysis and failure prediction modeling.
Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma within 3 years.
BSEE or equivalent in motor power electronics design.
A background in Active PFC, EMI design requirements for CE, and exposure to design for international markets, focusing on UL, CE and China.
The ideal candidate would be knowledgeable in the design of motor power electronics using sensorless sine drive techniques with APFC and MODBUS communications.
Knowledge of IOT design and development is a plus.
