Aerotek Controls Engineer in Columbia, Missouri
• Develop PLC solutions to meet manufacturing operation needs • Support the design and engineering of programmable logic controls (PLC’s) and modifications for wide variety of manufacturing production equipment • SCADA system and HMI controls development • Represent and support Engineering team during R&D phase of new machines and concepts • Provide support for programming and troubleshooting of production equipment, computerized equipment, Personal Computers, and Programmable Logic Controls. • Support model year changes and warranty process changes. • Design and implement process changes to improve cost, safety, quality, speed, and data integrity. • Maintain and troubleshoot computerized machinery. • Provide technical support as needed. • Assist with special projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- BSEE accredited university/college (open to 2-year/tech school degree depending on industry experience)
- 5-10 years of experience of PLC programs from scratch, troubleshooting, HMI development and training and mentoring less experienced team members.
Experience with Siemens (5%) and Allen-Bradley (95%), Rockwell, Microsoft SQL, HMI
Candidates who come from integrators strongly preferred. Integrators who build equipment and service robots, servo presses and cameras on equipment. Experience with ANSI.
Disqualifier: Faster pace than machine shop type or people coming from integrators who don’t want a plant environment where it’s faster paced.
Additional: - Ability to lift/move 20-50lbs. Ability to stand/sit for extended periods of time - Arrive to work on-time consistently - Flexible schedule and ability/willing to work overtime if needed - Ability to travel - Active driver's license and passport required
