Here, you will make an impact by:Leading and assisting in development and qualifications for media manufacturing processes supporting a revolutionary line of BioPharma purification productsIdentifying, initiating, and leading projects to improve process safety, quality, service, cost, capacity, and productivityWorking closely with production and maintenance teams to resolve and improve equipment downtime issuesCreating and updating standard work, operating procedures, and test methods, and train affected personnelResponding to quality issues and audit findings with thorough root cause analysis and highly effective corrective actionsYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionThree (3) years of manufacturing, laboratory, or production experience in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Masters or PhD degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited universityFive (5) years of process engineering experience in within a manufacturing and/or industrial settingDemonstrated strength in engineering/technical skillsUnderstanding of polymer chemistryExperience with process validation and documentationHands on approach with demonstrated mechanical aptitudeExcellent interpersonal skills, with strong communication skills both verbal and written, analytical and organizational skills to manage different prioritiesSelf-starter/self-directed individual that leads with high energy and passion and work with minimal supervision or guidanceTraining and experience in Lean methodology, statistics, SPC, DOE, and Six Sigma are beneficial.The ability to perform root cause analysis and apply system thinking in problem solvingAbility to motivate others by training, guiding, coaching, and achieving results through team participation and collaborationAbility to prioritize, multi-task and remain flexible to changes; responds with a sense of urgencyPersonal computer proficiencyTravel: May include up to 25% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: Is authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially.
