National Dentex 3rd Shift Dental-Lab Technician Trainee in Fenton, Missouri

Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Keller in Fenton, MO for a Full-Time 3rd Shift Dental-Lab Technician Trainee. Previous experience is not necessary; we offer paid, hands-on training!

The regular hours for this position are from 10:30pm to 7:30am, Sunday night through Friday morning, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist

  • Pour positive models from impressions supplied by dentists using liquid stone mixture

  • Trim models with bulk and/or fine trimmer

  • From hardened model, saw out appropriate tooth that requires restoration

  • Attach to articulator, verifying the bite of the patient to insure proper fit of the final product

  • Follow all fabrication steps and use of applicable tools outlined in the Technical Team Policies for Model Prep.

  • Insure all steps are followed, in order, to insure consistent, accurate results

  • Review final work and check completely that all quality standards, as well as esthetics, have been met before passing the work to the next technician

  • Keep all work areas clean on a daily basis

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

  • Manual dexterity, good hand-eye coordination, excellent perception skills and attention to details

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve, using past experience and success to gauge best steps on future cases

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • No experience required

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach

  • Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions

  • Good manual dexterity

  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time

  • Repeated bending and kneeling

  • Vision capabilities: Depth perception, attention to detail and/or color

  • Push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 50 pounds
