TRANSCANADA USA SERVICES INC Reliability Engineer in Graham, Missouri

General Information Reporting to the Manager of Compression West, this position is responsible for providing engineering support to field teams, engineering department, construction, and management to ensure the safety and reliability of compression facilities and prime movers; and for providing support for the proper design, construction, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems for compressor stations and related facilities. This position is located in Maitland, Missouri and will provide support to the ANR Pipeline system south west main line SWML from the Oklahoma/Texas panhandle area to northern Illinois. Alternate facility locations central to the SWML could be considered for the home location. There are 14 compression stations within this pipeline segment. A variety of reciprocating integral engine/compressor units are installed at these facilities along with a few turbine driven centrifugal units. The successful candidate must have in-depth knowledge of the installed equipment. The position provides support to all mechanical equipment in the compressor station. On occasion the position may also be required to provide support at other locations on other pipeline systems owned by Company including the nearby Northern Borders system. Responsibilities Operations Support * Reactive Maintenance: Reliability Engineers are engaged and provide support on day to day issues at their assigned compressor stations; * Provide sound engineered and cost effective solutions to urgent problems such as; * Compressor startup problems; * Compressor shutdowns/faults; * Coolant or oil contamination; * Capacity deficiencies; * Gas conditioning drip gas, water, dirt ingestion; * Station piping problems support, vibration, excessive pressure drop, etc.; * Auxiliary system malfunctions including ESD; * Identify, scope, estimate and engineer break fix projects to repair failed systems, machines and/or components. Preventative Maintenance * Identify, scope, estimate and engineer Capital and maintenance projects to provide long term solutions for facility defects and systemic issues; * Provide diagnosis, support repairs and perform the root cause analysis for significant failures and Abnormal Operation events. Predictive Maintenance * Provide operational and maintenance recommendations based on: * Oil and coolant analysis; * Equipment Analyst performance and vibration test results; * Enterprise Analytics notifications remote condition monitoring system; * Conduct borescope inspections and vibration testing.Please apply to this posting by 10/26/2018.
