Job Description

Kelly Services has an opportunity for a full-time QC Inspector, this is a Temp-to-Hire Opportunity. $16/hr. Strong Math and Technical Skills required. Please READ summary and qualification before applying. Resume REQUIRED. Must have experience with reading blue prints, using calipers and other gauges to measure parts.

Job Summary:

Tests and inspects products, processes, and procedures at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.

Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas.

Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures, using Epicor, Microsoft Office and other computer programs.

Prepares graphs or charts of data, evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

Perform failure analysis and problem solving.

Make inspection reports.

Must be proficient in using micrometers, calipers, plug gauges, and torque wrenches.

Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.

Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Skills Required:

Ability to set up for and process or final inspect small or medium size parts with close tolerances, or subassemblies or completed units of simple construction.

Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures, using Epicor, Microsoft Office and other computer programs

Experience using coordinate measuring machine and gauges.

Prepares graphs or charts of data, evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.

Candidate must have a minimum 2-year technical degree.
