Job Description:Looking for an individual to be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and writing reports to ensure our medical devices meet International Standards and Design Control requirements. Some work may also involve development of new devices and improvements to existing products in the medical disposables area. These products are mechanical in nature, and our designs serve a global market.The ability to build relationships is important in this role, as the candidate will interface with others in the Research and Development group, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Planning/Logistics, Packaging/Labeling and with Outside Partners.Responsibilities Include:Project and Technical supportParticipate in multi-departmental teams, to support product development and maintenance of business activities.Manage assigned project tasks to established time lines and generate/maintain status updatesDesign History File (DHF) documentation and adherence to guidelines and requirements associated with FDA/QSR Design ControlsProduct Performance VerificationCoordinate design/process changes, where requiredRequirements:Education: BS in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Plastics Engineering (or a related field).Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical product development or related field is required.Preferred Skills/Qualifications:Good communication and interpersonal skills are essentialDevelops solutions to well defined technical problemsAble to write well-constructed reports that support conclusions with facts.Works effectively in a diverse groupKnowledge of Medical Device design controlsCapable of developing a schedule for smaller development tasksAbility to work in 3-D CAD systems is preferredExperience with Plastic product design/manufacturing is a plusDesign for Six Sigma (DFSS) experience / certification is a plusVEVRAA Federal ContractorWe request Priority Protected Veteran and Disabled Referrals for all of our locations within the state.We are an equal opportunity employer.
