Description
Green Plains Grain, Inc., (stock symbol: GPRE), is currently seeking a Seasonal Grain Handler to work at our elevator in Hopkins, MO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
unloading incoming grain and monitoring to ensure compliance with moisture and grade standards
loading outgoing grain
monitoring and maintaining grain quality
keeping facilities and equipment clean, safe and well maintained
complying with safety procedures
representing the company’s corporate identity to all customers
In addition, perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education and/or Experience Desired: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licenses: Maintain a valid drivers license; Physical Demands:
frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with assistance.
Work Environment:
exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather condition
frequently exposed to vibration
occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles
noise level in the work environment is usually loud
will be required to work after-hours and weekends, as the job requires. Also may be required to work night shift during fall harvest.
