Summary of Duties:
An electrical engineer is sought to provide development engineering product support for complex assemblies typically requiring specialized qualifications, knowledge and/or skill
The candidate will be expected to perform production development, evaluation, and quality control functions on complex engineering projects, regularly offering innovative solutions to technical problems
In addition, this person will interface with various support departments to expedite assembly of complex products
Apply mathematical, physical science, and engineering technologies in accomplishing engineering objectives
Interface with design agency personnel, suppliers, and internal organizations to resolve design, development and acceptance issues
Plan, execute, participate in, direct, influence or coordinate completion of tasks within larger projects with responsibility for completion of work on schedule
Assist in the design and/or project management of new and current projects, products, programs, components, tools and acceptance equipment under technical guidance of senior or lead level engineers or departmental management
Assist in the development of test procedures and performance of routine to moderately complex engineering evaluation tests, product and process capability studies, quality audits, product or project data reviews, and other engineering evaluation work
Prepare evaluation reports, analyze discrepancies, and make recommendations for improvements
Assist in the preparation of product or project definitions, manufacturing drawings and specifications, and test equipment designs
Evaluate and make recommendations regarding technological advances that improve productivity and quality, reduce flow time, and enhance operational surety
Troubleshoot development and production products and processes
Participate heavily with the design partners in design-for-manufacturing, test and inspection techniques
You Must Have:
US Citizenship required (to obtain and maintain security clearance)
BS Degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
Experience using MS Office Suite desktop applications, such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
Willingness to travel up to 10%
