Logistics Associate II – 2nd Shift

Summary:

Although the main focus is in Logistics, the Logistics Associate II will also support other areas of operation as needed and as requested in order to support the needs of the business at the Kansas City, Missouri Catalent site.

This is an hourly opportunity with overtime and resides on a 2nd shift schedule.

The Role/Daily Duties:

  • Tracks domestic and international shipments as requested by the sites, sponsors, CROs or Project Managers.

  • Fill and/or process orders for shipment in the specified time frame to meet client or Catalent’s timeline

  • Checking in stock for accuracy in orders, loading shelves, picking and packing multiple orders per day.

  • May involve writing proforma/commercial invoices for global permit applications and shipments.

  • Perform periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels.

The Candidate/Qualifications

Education or Equivalent:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 months-1 years related experience.

  • Basic to moderate computer skills – including, but not limited to e-mail, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer, Inventory systems, etc.

  • Must have some Warehouse/DC experience.

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Self-motivated - Able to work with little or no supervision

  • Must be detail-oriented and well organized.

  • Ability to work in a fast pace, high-stress environment – Ability to work under tight timelines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate, and reach with hands and arms for up to 8 hours per day

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen

  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds

  • Occasional requirement to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

  • Must be available to work occasional overtime

  • 20/20 corrected vision and able to distinguish all colors

  • Position requires extensive use of the telephone and face-to-face communications, which require the accurate perception of speech.

  • Position may require a significant amount of writing and keyboarding involving repetitive motions with fingers and sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time.
