Material Handler – St Louis, MO

BASF Pest Control Solutions, providing the professional pest management industry with better solutions for more effective and efficient pest control, is seeking an experienced, full-time, Material Handler at our St. Louis plant, located in Kirkwood, MO in South West St. Louis County!

This is a great opportunity to join our team working in a challenging and dynamic manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing and warehouse environment along with excellent communication, planning, and teamwork skills. Daily responsibilities will include: moving freight, stock, and other components to supply the production line with the materials required to process production needs. All qualified, responsible applicants are encouraged to apply.

Duties:

  • Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas using fork lift and pallet jack.

  • Move palletized finished goods from work stations to pallet wrappers then onto final storage.

  • Package and label cases

  • Count Inventory

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Safety:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory, including proper labeling, storage, and usage of these items.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment always.

  • Assist in stacking product on pallets

Work Orders:

  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments for material and equipment needs

  • Fulfill material requests for all departments in a timely manner

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 2 years of forklift experience

  • 2 years of experience in warehousing, shipping/receiving or material handling

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate Computer skills

  • 5S Experience
