Have you written code in the past, but are now interested in doing something different? If so, we are looking for you. Cerner in Kansas City, MO is growing and is in search of our next Solution & Test Designer in our IP Development organization. As a Solution & Test Designer you will be responsible for understanding engineering workflows, defining and documenting function requirements and risk analysis using solution management tools and processes, and test solution outcomes using manual, exploratory and automated test methodologies. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to lead and own discussions between development teams, subject matter experts, internal users or client-facing teams to clarify user stories, track issues or resolve problems. In this role you will use epics, features, solution vision and market needs to write user stories and requirements into clear, workable solutions and risk control requirements. Lastly, you will create and automate test plans to test the requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Healthcare or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
At least 3 years of experience testing, development or solution-related work experience
- CIS or CE background
Willing to travel up to 10% as needed
Attention to detail when writing clear and concise acceptance criteria.
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
