Kelly Services Manufacturing/Production Engineer in O Fallon, Missouri

Kelly Services is currently looking to hire a Manufacturing/Production Engineer to work for one of our top Medical Device clients on-site in O'Fallon, MO for a contract position (with potential for direct hire).

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE OF JOB

This position provides manufacturing engineering support to a manufacturing operation. This may include designing and implementing new manufacturing processes, designing manufacturing tooling, improving existing manufacturing processes, repairing and coordinating the repair of production machinery, and providing technical guidance to manufacturing personnel.

KEY ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Investigate, justify, and implement automation and new technology opportunities.\t

  • Suggest and aid in implementing product redesigns to reduce cost and cycle time.\t

  • Improve production processes, equipment, and methods to reduce cost and cycle time.\t

  • Assist in generating CAD documentation, author SOPs and test instructions, and create/update PFMEAs while ensuring that necessary verification and validation activities are performed according to Quality Systems Regulations.\t

  • Correct and resolve manufacturing issues to minimize production downtime.\t

  • Work on new product and process design teams, as well as change coordination that may impact assembly operations and test processes.\t

  • Lead and assist with CAPA investigation, root cause analysis, and deviations, both independently and within a team environment.\t

  • Provide support, as necessary, to the Quality team during both internal and external audits.\t

  • Assist with preventative maintenance activities, as required.\t

  • Independently lead manufacturing projects and change implementations.

QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experiencer

Preferred Education:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Biomedical Engineering discipline

Required Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing supportrnrn

Preferred Experience:3 -5 years in medical device or disposables manufacturing

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skillsrn\t

  • A self-motivated and results-oriented individual\t

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite Word, Excel, MS Project\t

  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control SPC\t

  • CAD software proficiency

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:Proficiency in SolidWorks and MS Accessrn, LEAN or Six Sigma training or certification
