POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible to build and drive a continuous improvement culture at the facility level. The Continuous Improvement CI Manager will use Lean and Six Sigma tools to develop, lead and implement projects which improve operational efficiency and deliver savings which improve our profitability, market position, and competitiveness. The CI Manager will help influence the strategy for the Poplar Bluff Manufacturing Plant by identifying projects, implementing solutions, training local employees, transferring best practices, and tracking the monthly reporting of metrics. This role will engage facility leaders and their respective organizations to ensure that continuous improvement strategies are carried out effectively across all areas utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to assess problems, motivate people, and implement process changes which will result in a new level of sustained, operational effectiveness. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below. 1 20% Maintain and comply with GPS directives: Includes leading engineering teams to complete lean six sigma projects, maintain current GPS documentation, ensure all value streams comply with GPS reporting and showing improvements. 2 15% Work with Corporate GPS leadership in establishing metrics and documentation that will monitor plant performance. 3 15% Responsible for creating a strategic plan and road map to meet goals to improve performance and efficiency in manufacturing. 4 15% Assist in the design of standardized Work Instruction, processes, policies, systems, and other elements that improve operational excellence. 5 15% Company is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer and is committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
