What is the Job?
- As our Extrusion Plastic Machine Operator, you'll provide expertise operating technical equipment and machinery. You'll set-up, run and adjust manufacturing equipment per specialized standards ensuring quality specifications and production targets are met. You'll perform technical troubleshooting; fill out production documentation; monitor raw material usage, track finished goods inventory, in addition to supporting and adhering to Lean Manufacturing principles.
What do you Bring to the Job?
Machine set-up and troubleshooting experience highly preferred
Proven mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to remove molds and tooling weighing between 30 to 70 lbs.
Ability to use various hand tools while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
Ability to calculate basic math problems including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, using fractions and decimals and an understanding of weight and measurement
Ability to identify and distinguish product clarity and apparent defects while monitoring the product process
High School diploma or GED
3 year's experience within a manufacturing or equivalent environment
Technical school certification is preferred
Experience with an extrusion plastics manufacturing environment is highly preferred
Knowledge of general manufacturing principles of mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics
Experience working in a team environment to meet production goals
Proven ability to handle multiple requests and competing priorities in order to meet production deadlines
