The Boeing Company Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer – Entry Level in Saint Charles, Missouri

Boeing Missile and Weapons (M&W) Division has been recently awarded multiple US Department of Defense (USDoD) contracts to provide products and engineering services to the support many of our nation’s critical defense and deterrence systems This Engineering effort includes development of new concepts all the way through sustaining existing hardware and systems. These systems employ some of the most complex and advanced technology in the world.

Duties for this Entry Level Mechanical Engineering position could include performing design and analysis, testing, component integration, data collection and analysis, reviewing and updating test procedures, determining root cause and corrective actions, developing and presenting briefings, and other M&W related duties.

Position Responsibilities:

* Applies knowledge of mechanical engineering and scientific methods and tools to define and characterize behavior of products, services, and processes * Integrates technical, cost, value, and safety considerations into the product definition to comply with Department of Defense, regulatory, and company requirements * Ability to develop and interpret drawings, data sets, reports, and specifications is required. Interfaces with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives * Determines and develops approaches to solutions * Develops, documents, and maintains processes, methods, and tools * Helps resolve programmatic and technical problems that would affect cost, schedule, and performance

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

* Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering or related technology or science field

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

* Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering * ABET Accreditation is preferred * The individual should be goal-oriented and have a strong work ethic * Should have the ability to multi-task and work in a multi-company team environment * Should have Experience working with Microsoft Office Tools * Knowledge and experience with mechanical design principles and systems, mechanical components, mechanical analyses, and basic mechanical test equipment and standard equipment are preferred * The ability to develop solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation is necessary

Typical Education / Experience:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering or related technology or science field. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
