You are responsible for providing controls engineering leadership and support to the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Maintenance team members to deliver continuous improvement efforts on automated manufacturing processes and equipment. You will coordinate the electrical and controls resources for all plant capital projects. You are a key factory ambassador and representative on electrical and controls-related committees, as well as a thought leader in the areas of technological trends and research.Your knowledge of programming, technical data interpretation, hardware application specification, Electrical Power and Controls Design, System Integration and Risk Assessments will make you successful in your role. Joining the Nestl Purina factory in St. Joseph means you are joining more than a pet food company, but also a very driven and close-knit team focused on safety, personal growth, development, and community.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide leadership and project management, defining control strategies, directing programming resources, and coordinating electrical resources for capital projects.Provide consultation services as the factory subject matter expert on all controls and power applications.Develops personal experience to approach problems through a series of complete and conceptually related studies to deal with difficult problems which require unique or novel approaches.Continually seeks out and applies methods, procedures, practices and technology to improve performance level and efficiency of assigned tasks.Provide technical and process support as required. Coaches, trains, mentors and provides leadership to technicians for troubleshooting procedures and resolution to technical problems.Other duties as assignedBASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer ScienceExperience (Years/Type):5 years of experience with electrical troubleshooting, PLC logic troubleshooting and programming, technical data interpretation, hardware application specificationExperience in industrial manufacturing facilities preferredTo our veterans and separated service members-you're at the forefront of our minds as we recruit top talent to join Nestl Purina.
