Position Summary: Lift truck service to all manufacturing lines, warehousing, and other production areas. Loading and unloading as needed. Relieve other operators as directed.
Essential Job Functions:
Loading and unloading trucks with forklift, including steel coils utilizing the coil truck.
Moving various materials, products, and supplies utilizing various size lift trucks.
Completing proper documentation and utilizing finished goods tracking system when loading and/or storing finished product.
Maintain the forklifts and work area in a clean and orderly fashion. Performs daily fork lift safety inspection.
Operates truck in a safe manner following all safety regulations with due regard for safety of self and co-workers while exercising care and protection of company property.
Checks incoming materials, delivery tickets, requisitions and other records or reports to insure delivery of correct type and quantity of material.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Experience in a manufacturing facility
A minimum of two years forklift driving work experience, operating sit-down forklifts
Ability to demonstrate forklift driving experience and pass the certification test
Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed
Physical Requirements: Ability to kneel, stoop, crawl, squat and stand for extended periods of time while performing job duties (up to 12-hours a day). Ability to push, pull, bend, climb, walk, and lift on a continuous basis (up to 12-hours a day). Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds overhead on an occasional basis. Possess excellent hand-eye coordination, adequate dexterity and strength in order to maintain and operate equipment. Required to wear personal protection equipment as required.
