Commissioning and Testing Engineer
job summary:
Commissioning and Testing Engineer located near Sunset Hills, MO (St. Louis southern metro) for a leading supplier of the energy and power generation industry. This role is responsible to assist in field commissioning and performance testing of generators in the field. To be considered - candidates must have a B.S. degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Physics, or Chemical Engineering is preferred). Candidates with exposure to classes or work experience involving heat transfer, or fluid dynamics will be coveted. Travel up to 30%. This is a direct hire opportunity to join a growing company. Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or Physics discipline is preferred)
Mechanical skills for installing testing equipment
Experience or knowledge of Heat transfer or fluid dynamics (course work or through internship experience)
Effective written and verbal communication is essential

responsibilities:
Assist in field commissioning and performance testing of generators
Provide operator training at jobsites and develop training presentations
Review contract specifications for items applicable to the operation, testing and commission of units.
Field work will require operator training, performance testing, and commissioning, troubleshooting field issues
Resolve customer complaints during the commissioning phase of the project
Assist in analyzing field issues and deciding on product modification to correct issues.
Review of contract specifications, calibration of testing equipment (with support from I&C), engineering support for other departments, and troubleshooting of field/operating issues.
Travel 30%
