METROLOGY ASSOCIATE 2
JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
Contribute improvement ideas & suggestions to help continue the success of the plant. Associate will operate, maintain, and calibrate calibration standards on associated devices or instruments on site. In addition, assist facilities in troubleshooting all production equipment associated within the department to prevent and/or correct mechanical and electrical breakdowns following strict product safety and quality standards. Associate must have the ability abd initiative to lead and participate in plant problem-solving teams, ability to apply problem-solving techniques, communicate effectively, demonstrate leadership and plan effectively. Interested individuals must be able to work in a fast paced, multifaceted environment and be able to communicate effectively. Work well in a team-based environment with limited supervision, and be available to work any shift, weekends and holidays as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Associate will calibrate, operate, maintain and assist in troubleshooting all production equipment associated within the department to prevent and/or correct breakdowns following strict product safety and quality standards.
Calibrate all instrument and devices on site. Ensure calibration standards are well maintained and in proper operational status
Support high performance culture and continuous improvement programs through active participation in plant productivity programs
Comply and actively participate in all safety and environmental policies, procedures and programs.
Perform area housekeeping duties. Perform all tasks as assigned by supervisor
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified applicants must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
At least 3 years of experience in calibrations
Knowledge of and capable of performing basic electrical troubleshooting and basic PLC skills for loop calibration and room certifications
Must be able to troubleshoot equipment and calibrate all gas-related controls
Must be able to start up systems, test lines to detect leaks, and record the readings taken to ensure that the system is functioning satisfactorily.
Background in calibration of industrial, electrical, and computer systems preferred.
Knowledge of or be willing and able to train in Maintenance Systems (SAP), computer skills, & new technologies in predictive maintenance
Should have a working knowledge of electrical installation & construction, hydraulics & pneumatics systems
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/FACTORS:
Must be able to move up to 50 lbs.
Work in all types of environment all seasons associated with job
Indoor/outdoor, physical environment
Any shift(s) and overtime requirements as needed.
Must be available for shift work & weekend work when periodically needed
