Raineri Construction is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to facilitate the project workflow through proactive management of the documentation process.


Tasks shall include, but are not limited to:

Submittals: Per direction of the Project Manager

  • Preparation of submittal logs

  • Initial and follow-up requests of subcontractor and supplier product data, shop drawings, and other documentation as required by project specifications

  • Review of all subcontractor and vendor shop drawings, product data, samples, manuals, etc. for compliance with contract documents and coordination with all other items of work

  • Seek and study problems, conflicts, incomplete or ambiguous design information and any other questions/issues presented by subs, vendors, designers, crews and staff or others. Resolve all promptly including, when necessary, interfacing with designers, engineers or the Owner; document solutions using RFI; and distribute to all affected parties

  • Final review and logging of submittals, and disbursement as needed

Document Control:

  • Maintain / Update record drawings

  • Monitor testing and inspection records and reports

  • Distribute new drawings, changes, approved submittals, RFI response sand other project information to all affected parties

  • Maintain RFI log and post RFI responses on record drawings

  • Record building permit inspections and sign-offs

  • Anticipate and record official notices: Beneficial Occupancy, Substantial Completion, Certificate of Occupancy, Notice of Completion, Warranties/Guarantees

  • Routing of project documentation to project owner, architect, and/or other parties as directed

  • Assist project managers with subcontract scope of work documents and clarifications

  • Attend project progress meetings and prepare and distribute meeting minutes

  • Update project schedules as directed by project manager

  • Identify and expedite long lead subcontract items

  • Perform quality assurance and quality control inspections as directed by the project manager

  • Assist the superintendent as needed and directed by the project manager
