Job Location– Saint Louis, MO

Position Summary

This position is in our St. Louis, MO facility. Seeking a Systems Engineer 2019 summer intern to help our systems engineering team to meet the technical performance requirements of highly complex systems and to execute an interdisciplinary process to ensure that the customer and stakeholders’ needs and requirements are satisfied in a high quality, trustworthy, cost efficient, and schedule compliant manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of the technical director and chief systems engineers on various systems engineering activities.

  • May use Matlab and/or Simulink software in the performance of assignments.

  • Work closely with and assist engineers in the conduct of various engineering assignments.

  • Completing assigned tasks on time.

  • Gather and assemble data for engineers.

  • May be required to help in research in a particular field

  • Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers.

  • Assist engineers with appropriate design details.

  • Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to network.

  • Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel.

  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Student pursuing degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent. 0+ years experience.

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, written and verbal.

Desired Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge

  • Basic knowledge and familiarity with the use of Matlab and/or Simulink.

  • Coursework in some of the following subjects: calculus I/II, linear algebra, complex variables, probability & statistics, and differential equations

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products.
