Aerotek Maintenance Supervisor in Saint Peters, Missouri

Description:

The maintenance supervisor will take total and complete ownership of the maintenance department and team. They will plan maintenance and improvement activities as well as capital investment projects and perform troubleshooting, repairs and PMs as needed. They will perform and assign preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on machinery and equipment including: *25 packaging lines *Liquid Fillers *Palletizers *Packaging Equipment *Motors *Pumps *Gears

Job duties include: •Perform, plan, manage and allocate all maintenance PMs, urgent repairs and breakdowns etc. •Troubleshoot, repair, set up, adjust, maintain & overhaul various types packaging equipment •Follows all applicable Safety Rules and policies including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), HAZCOM, Process Safety, Lock Out/Tag Out and Emergency Action •Completes regular documented Safety Audit and initiates Corrective Action as needed •Follows current work instruction and insures adherence to the Quality Control Plan and related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) •Achieves required OEE levels on assigned Packaging Line(s) •Performs Statistical Process Control Charting and takes appropriate corrective action •Performs, practices good Housekeeping •Trains new Operators and Temps as needed •Serves on emergency brigade for fires, and/or evacuation procedures •Works effectively in a Team based work environment •Able to send and receive E-Mail in a timely and effective manner

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

The qualified candidate must have the following:

*Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment *Experience working within Consumer Products, Pharmaceutical, or Food manufacturing environment highly preferred *Experience and ability to manage a high volume of hourly employees; experience supervising and managing over 30 employees at one time *Experience working in a fast paced, high volume production environment *Knowledge and experience around supply chain and logistics *Experience with standardized systems such as ISO 9001, 18001, 14001, etc. *Effective team development skills *Solid knowledge of applicable safety rules & regulations *Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem solving, decision making and computer proficiency in Microsoft office products

*Minimum 3-5 years of mechanic/industrial maintenance experience; best candidate will have experience troubleshooting and repairing packaging equipment, packaging lines, palletizers, liquid fillers etc *Minimum 3-5 years of mechanical troubleshooting experience; pneumatic and hydraulics *Minimum 3-5 years of electrical troubleshooting experience; 480 volt, 3 phase motor, VFDs *Ability to wire relays and electrical panels; arc flash training *Experience repairing and rebuilding pumps, motors and gears *Experience working as an industrial machinist and/or mechanic on any press machines or mixing equipment *Experience assisting in changeovers, wash outs and preventative maintenance *Experience with troubleshooting and adjustments to maximize run time *Can operate daily with a sense of urgency and initiative; performs, practices good housekeeping *Experience using computers for data entry and reporting purposes *Must have strong communication skills and command of English, both verbal and written
