The Plant Managerdemonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad

company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes

that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues

within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and

contribute to the overall business strategy. The Plant Manager is the visible

and active leader of the facility, promoting a favorable and productive environment

for all employees.

In addition, you will:

Promote a working environment to achieve excellence in productivity, customer service, quality, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)

Drive initiatives to maximize employee contribution and drive improvements in product quality and services

Ensure all manufacturing / production support functions at facility are staffed and well trained to perform their duties effectively

Be responsible for planning, coordinating and directing all Operations and Services functions at the facility

Lead the effort to develop and implement plans to meet customers’ requirements for product quality, cost and delivery

Manage the facility within operating budget

Be responsible for the day-to-day operations at this site including all aspects from the reception of raw materials through the delivery of finished product

Drive growth and change in a fast-moving, high-energy environment

Promote the use of six-sigma methodology in driving plant quality improvements

Coordinate Service Center activity with Logistics

Manage Delivery Specialist and assists with DOT compliance

Develop appropriate dialogues with local government regulatory departments

Lead all employee relations matters, communicates actively, listens openly, and is highly flexible

Maintain and develop procedures, documents necessary to maintain the ISO Quality system and certifications


Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 10 years of experience in a shop leadership or mechanical manufacturing, or military mechanical position)

• Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in leading teams in production or fulfillment operations

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing processes

• Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing management such as production and inventory control, variable cost productivity, and fulfillment metrics, quality systems, cost systems, and fulfillment metrics, and procedures

• Knowledge of project management
