MEMC LLC SOI Quality Engineer in Saint Peters, Missouri

Act as the primary contact between the Account Manager, Field Application Engineer, Customer, and GlobalWafers Manufacturing and Engineering teams for customers receiving product from our SOI facility. Duties include: overseeing all technical customer requests and complaints regarding the companys patented silicon wafer products; analyzing and reporting customer-specific data regarding silicon wafer product capability for customer parametric requirements and connecting wafer performance data to customer performance data regarding the technical performance of the wafer in connection with the customers end product; managing customer specific Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) Get Well Plans; coordinating with other engineers and team members globally to manage and resolve cross site issues; developing and handling customer waivers of specifications, including liaising between Manufacturing and Field Applications Engineer / Account Team to propose waiver to customer; serving as the customer advocate for Material Review Board (MRB); preparing customer quarterly quality review information including CpK reporting and ZDP report and interfacing with SOI and Account Manager, Field Applications Engineer, and customer on improvement activities for silicon wafer products; coordination between Customer, Field Applications Engineer, IT Group for setup and validation of Certificate of Analysis (COA) supplied with deliveries to the customer.The position requires a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Chemistry, Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field or a suitable combination of education, training, or experience as determined by a qualified evaluation service.Position also requires 3 years of experience as a Process Engineer or closely related occupation in the silicon wafer manufacturing or processing industries to include 3 years of experience with silicon wafer manufacturing or semiconductor fab wafer processing utilizing Quality Management Systems including 8D method or SPC; researching cause of defects and identify the corrective and preventative actions; and coordinating and tracking of CIP and 8D CAPA action items internally and updating customers.
