POSITION SUMMARY:This position reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible to oversee all aspects of the quality management system and the quality department.i The Director of Quality works in coordination with the leadership team to ensure the SRC Purpose to Better the lives of our Employee Owners, our Families and our Community is met.iESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:High level contributor to the leadership teamDrives the SRC Electrical ValuesStrong contributor in strategic planning sessionsEnsure organizational strategic goals are communicated and supportedDrives the ownership culture of SRC through open book management and Great Game of BusinessSmall staff participationLarge staff participationMini GamesOversee strategic initiatives and projectsiOversee the Quality Management SystemEnsure the quality management system meets the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard.Ensure the quality management system drives customer satisfactionEnsure Internal audit program drives continues improvementEnsure the corrective action process drives continuous improvementEnsure the quality management system meets customer requirements beyond those specified in ISO 9001.iOversee all aspects of the quality departmentEnsure excellent communication is provided to department associatesOrganization goals are understood and supportedDepartment goals are understood and supportedEnsure department staffing is maintained to support all quality functionsProduct audits and inspectionsCalibration system maintainedCorrective actions are managed, and results communicatedEnsure warranty analysis is completed and results are communicatedComplete annual department budgetOversee department support of other SRC Electrical departmentsEnsure quality resources support Engineering in customer and internal PPAP auditsEnsure quality resources support Production by conducting product and process auditsEnsure quality resources support Purchasing and Materials department by participating in supplier approval and/or auditsOversee quality support of SRC Electrical CustomersProvide leadership support to ensure customer satisfactionProvide oversight for quality interaction with customersCustomer audits and the quality management systemCustomer product quality requirementsReview of customer contracts, including warranty agreementOversee quality support of SRC Electrical Customers SuppliersProvide leadership level support in supplier selection and approvalProvide oversight for quality interaction with suppliersEnsure quality resource availability to conduct receiving inspection of purchased itemsEnsure quality resource availability to conduct supplier auditsWORK ENVIRONMENT:Work is performed mostly in a controlled atmosphere.i Some exposure to harsh conditions for short periods of time is possible.iPHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job.
