Multi-Craft offers a comprehensive package of benefits including: paid holidays, paid vacation, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement, wellness program and life insurance.Summary:i Equipment Designer will work with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and the Design Manager to manage and create all drafted documentation associated with projects to include models, drawings, Bill of Materials, and input into ERP software .i The documentation will primarily be created using Autodesk Inventor/Vault or Dassault Systems SolidWorks software.i Scope of the job will span all elements of the project life cycle inclusive of gathering project requirements, preliminary and final design, and As-Builts of equipment and materials, project monitoring and control.i Work will also include updating management of documentation for existing equipment systems.Location: Springfield, MO.Primary Job Functions:Work under the direction of the Design Manager to design complex drawings, such as PandID, manufacturing documents, design payouts, detailed drawings, equipment skid and piping.Equipment designers may evaluate, inspect, maintain, design, analyze, and improve various types of mechanical equipment.Prepare and work with bills of material and other manufacturing documents to include ERP system implementation.Assist engineering and project management staff with day to day project functions, as needed including researching product specifications, contacting vendors, and other support functions as needed.Work as part of a collaborative team to balance workloads and ensure quality deliverables are produced on time.Adhere to Multi-Craft Contractors practices, policies, and procedures for document revision control.Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible mannerKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:A minimum of 3 years of experience of equipment design experience requiredProficiency in Autodesk Inventor (2015 or newer version) or Dassault SolidWorks (2015 or newer version).Proficiency in Engineering Resource Planning (ERP) or MRP software (Global Shop Solutions preferred).Strong understanding of mechanical design fundamentals and practices.Strong background of manufacturing practices or experience preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point). Education Required:Drafting and design training.Associateis or Bacheloris Degree in Drafting and Design Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Industrial Engineering Technology (preferred). Physical Requirements:Must be able to perform repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms.Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
