The position is responsible for executing complex assignments around the upkeep and improvement of existing equipment, including maintenance and continued implementation of ePDM (electronic Product Data Management) throughout the organization.Essential Responsibilities: Establish priorities for Equipment Technologies group based on corporate goals and capital constraints.Ensure equipment capital projects are completed within budget and in a timely manner.Manage a team of Engineers, and Technicians to ensure quality equipment that is efficient, capable and consistent to help meet plant requirements and testing that meets specification.Ensure all equipment designed uses components which are compatible and acceptable to the individual facilities, and that all equipment meets appropriate OSHA and EPA requirements.Generate expense and capital budgets for the group and monitor performance to these budgets monthly.Identify opportunities to solve product and process problems through the implementation of new technologies.Lead the organization in the standardization of manufacturing methods across all facilities.Coach, develop and manage a group of associates to ensure a highly effective equipment engineering organization.Manage the continued implementation of ePDM as the primary electronic tool for managing engineering data in our organization. This includes DFLS Stage Gate, quality documentation, product change, and revision control of all CAD data, design guides and our knowledge base.Lead cross-site and cross-functional teams in the implementation, maintenance and growth of ePDM into our business processes.Develop the ePDM strategy and implementation plan, working with functional leaders.Continually seek opportunities to leverage the digital vault to simplify our business process and electronically protect our proprietary information.Assure ePDM is aligned with our overall digital strategy working with the VP or RandD and VP of IT.Provide training plans for new employees and as new components (or work flows) are added to the ePDM system.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Engineering, or Masters degree preferred12 years experience in the Belts Engineering IndustryStrong communicator, will work with various departments across the divisionAble to prioritize work based on deadlines and business needsKnowledgeable of project management and capital justificationDirect and motive employees as needed to ensure success in the departmentExpert user of ePDM with a clear vision of its extended capabilitiesHigh levels of knowledge of equipment used to produce Belts.All qualified applicants shall be treated equally according to their individual qualifications, abilities, experiences and other employment standards.
