SRC Electrical Production Scheduler in Springfield, Missouri

POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Production Control Manager, this position will coordinate the master schedule for the purpose of releasing jobs to Production using the ERP system.iESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Review the master schedule to establish a daily schedule for each month.Plan future releases to level load the production schedule.Control releases for Starter and/or Alternator production lines ensuring jobs are started as planned.Review released jobs to ensure production is on schedule and notify Production Supervisors and Production Control Manager when behind.Identify alternative builds/components when possible if there is a core/part shortage.Coordinate efforts with Buyers to investigate and expedite material shortages in order to meet internal and external customer expectations.Communicate with production to maximize shop flow and output of finished goods.Understand and use the ERP system to create work efficiencies.Be able to read a bill of materials, work instructions, illustrated assembly process, and visual aids.Participate in and support the principles of Open Book Management and recognize the responsibilities of being an owner of the company.Required to follow safety standards. Required to wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.Work attendance must be exemplary.iOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Know/ learn the product for scheduling.Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organizationis goals.Perform other duties as assigned.iWORK ENVIRONMENT:Exposure to atmospheric conditions, such as: dust, fumes, noise and varying temperatures.iPHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job.ii While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk and hear.i Ability to lift and carry 10-35 lbs for short distances.i Walking 40%; Sitting 60%.iSKILL/ KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITY/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Applications (emphasis in Excel) as well as email and web-based applications required.High School Diploma or GED.iADDITIONAL SKILL/ KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITY/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:Scheduling experience within a manufacturing environment.Associates degree in business, purchasing or technical discipline.Desire to expand personal competencies and capabilities through training and education.2 years of production experience.Required to follow safety standards. Required to wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Educational exposure to manufacturing principles.Experience in a manufacturing environment.High level of energy and motivation.Requires the desire to expand personal competencies and capabilities through education.This is a non-management positionThis is a full time position
