Great Southern Bank Release Management Specialist I in Springfield, Missouri

General Description

Completes the overall release and quality assurance process, and ensures releases are implemented according to schedule and deployment/rollback plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Completes the overall release and quality assurance process. This includes but is not limited to: building, testing, and delivering services to the customer or end users specified by service design, ensuring expectations have been met or exceeded. This duty is performed daily, about 40% of the time.

  2. Works closely and communicates regularly with appropriate management to coordinate work between teams to ensure releases are implemented according to schedule. Communicates project plans, changes, and commitments throughout the release management process while ensuring all required release documentation is validated and traceable. This duty is performed daily, about 30% of the time.

  3. Documents and governs all mitigation of risk. Determines whether a risk associated with a process or application is deemed acceptable for live production based on the functional needs of the process or application. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.

  4. Defines and develops detailed deployment and rollback plans, updating the plans continuously to reflect changes that may develop during testing. Ensures all release and deployment packages can be tracked, installed, tested, verified, and/or uninstalled or backed out. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.

  5. Manages code security, source code, and application versioning. This duty is performed weekly, about 15% of the time.

  6. Maintains regular and reliable attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance. Reads, writes, and communicates in a clear and efficient manner via various types of correspondence, such as, in person, phone, email, letters, etc. Adheres to all company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable banking rules, regulations, and laws (including BSA/AML).

  7. Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
