Multi-Craft offers a comprehensive package of benefits including: paid holidays, paid vacation, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement, wellness program and life insurance.Job Location: Springfield, MOFabricator: This position will include, but is not limited to setup, welding, and fabricating a wide range of highly specialized parts, using various materials, for the pharmaceutical, food/baking, brewing, material handling, and packaging industries.Primary job functions:Follow general and job specific safety proceduresPerform assigned responsibilities individually or as part of a teamGather and prepare appropriate material for daily tasksUse personally-owned and shop-owned hand and power tools such as welders, grinders, sanding tools, air tools, cutting tools, drill press, etc.Align and fit parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers and measuring tapesWeld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positionsMove parts into position, manually or with hoists or cranesPosition, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses, to bend, cut, form, punch, drill, or otherwise form and assemble metal componentsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.Knowledge of production processes, raw materials, quality controls, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effect manufacture and distribution of goodsStrong mathematical, mechanical, and technical skillsAbility to read and interpret blue prints and mechanical drawingsAbility to solve problems Ability to work in and operate safety equipment and use safe work practicesReliable attendance Experience welding sanitary, food grade, process piping systems (preferred)Experience fabricating Platforms, Stairs, equipment Skids, piping systems (preferred(Orbital welding experience a PLUS! but not required.Physical requirements:Visualize objects in three dimensions from drawingsWork under stress or pressureAttain set standards of accuracyEvaluate information based on measurable standards and see details in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes and shadings.See well (either naturally or with correction)Coordinate the use of eyes, hands, and feetMaintain physical strength and staminaUse arms, hands, and legs fullyPush, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb
