The Surveillance Technician is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of the surveillance systems and equipment both in and outside of the property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Checks all surveillance equipment at the start of the shift to ensure all are in good working condition.

  • Troubleshoots and repairs the surveillance equipment as the need arises.

  • Installs cameras, recorders and other components of the surveillance system.

  • Must know Pelco EnduraOne systems and how to repair DVR, NVR, Etc. Etc., related equipment.

  • Maintains all components of the Surveillance Room.

  • Maintains an inventory of spare parts needed in the repair of the surveillance equipment. Makes requisition for purchase of the lacking parts.

  • Maintains a log of all downed equipment and repairs, showing length of error and when repaired.

  • Coordinates with Surveillance Operators regarding equipment related problems.

  • Keeps the surveillance equipment clean at all times.

  • Must be available to respond to 24/7 emergency calls to perform or facilitate emergency repairs anywhere surveillance equipment is utilized.

  • Must be able to read and comprehend technical manuals, manufacturer specifications, and troubleshooting guides used in the installation and repair of technical investigative equipment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 6 months previous experience in similar position within the gaming industry.
