Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Worker I is responsible for preforming basic machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance services. In addition, maintains production and facility equipment according to safety requirements and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievements of the sites business goals and objectives. Responsible for the repair and maintenance of chemical and industrial process piping and equipment. Responsible for maintaining a safe work area, safe work practices, for high quality, for high productivity, for integrity, and for compliance with Company instructions and directives, including the Company’s prohibition against discrimination and harassment.
Performs all necessary job functions including but not limited to the following:1. Maintain, modify, install, rebuild, diagnose and repair chemical and industrial process piping and equipment. 2. Develop and maintain procedures for maintenance activity.
Prioritize and schedule maintenance activities.
Assure that plant and equipment meet production expectations, including the Boiler house.
As directed, assist any employee in any job classification in the performance of their maintenance duties.
Perform any other activity, as directed, required for maintenance. This shall include movement, packaging, protection and crating of material, product and any manufacturing related items and operation of material handling equipment as required to successfully complete their maintenance tasks.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
