How will you make an impact?

Analyze demand requirements for Raw Materials and Components to support the site Master Production Schedule. Liaison between Supply Chain and Tech Transfer to ensure timely and accurate updates to production schedule. Review completed Master Batch Records to confirm the accuracy on the Bill Of Materials. Investigate inventory discrepancies ensuring the accuracy of inventory. Other projects as needed.

What will you do?

  • Develop and update detailed material demand schedule by work center of the production plan generated by the Master Production Scheduler or designee.

  • Ensure that sufficient quantities of raw materials have been ordered and released to support the production schedule.

  • Inform supporting departments of changes to the production schedule confirming that they’ll have adequate manpower, training and materials to support the changes.

  • Ensure that all QA, QC, Engineering and Regulatory open issues are resolved in a timely manner so as to not impact the production schedule.

  • Work with Tech Transfer to ensure BOMs are accurate.

  • Perform post production reviews of Master Batch Records to ensure accurate and timely client billing.

  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid impact to the operations area.

  • Manage material conversions to minimize obsolescence, reduce impact to customer service and comply with regulatory requirements.

  • Work with site procurement to develop material forecasts.

  • Escalate key supplier issues to procurement.

  • Develop and maintain KPIs relevant to planning.

  • Help with other Supply Chain duties when required.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Management, or Material Management required.

  • APICS certification is a plus.

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in Production Planning, preferably in a GMP pharmaceutical environment

  • Experience with an ERP required, preferably SAP

  • Working knowledge of Capacity Planning, Master Production Scheduling, and forecasting is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing

  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Proficiency in the use of computer software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge in problem solving techniques

  • Good analytical skills

  • Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Self-starter and independent worker who is able to work in a fast paced environment under pressure

  • Ability to multi-task and exhibit a great time management discipline
