Monsanto Production Associate in ST. LOUIS, Missouri

The US Row Crops Organization

is seeking a highly

motivated Production Associate. This position will be located at a seed site

in the US, and will report to the site’s Production Lead.

The Production Associate is

a leadership development position that focuses on safety, product quality, and

process optimization. The role provides opportunities to gain exposure to and

have front line responsibility for all aspects of crop production from planting

through harvest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the execution of ESH, Quality Management System (QMS), andMonsanto Production System (MPS) programs and elements; participates in associated networks

  • Maycontribute in plant operations such as conditioning, packaging, lab operations,warehouse / inventory management / distribution, carryover, etc. as assigned bythe site leadership team.

  • Participatesin field operations such as planting, detasseling, field inspections and mapping,harvest, etc.

  • Supportscompliance with Global Stewardship and Corporate Quality Management proceduresand policies in addition to Crop Level and site specific Standard OperatingProcedures (SOPs).

  • Develops influencing skills through motivation, recognition,leadership, and development

  • Helps identify and implement operational improvements, metricstracking and best practices and participates in related networks for crosssharing

Required Skills/Experiences:

  • Minimum of a BS in Agronomy, Agribusiness, Crop Soil Science, AgBusiness, Technology, Engineering or related field of study

  • Capability to clearly present information and influence orpersuade others through oral or written communications

  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while developingsituational judgment

  • Results orientation with the ability to work with peopleindividually or in a team to gain commitment to achieve those results

Desired Skills/Experiences:

  • Useof a company pooled car may be preferred during the workday – if available atyour work site. In order to be eligible to drive a company car, your drivingrecord must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for HiringDrivers – MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening.

  • Prior Seed Production or agricultural experience
