Position Summary

The Healthcare BA/QA Engineer will report to VP, Delivery. The Healthcare BA/QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the overall quality assurance during deployment of the UDS platform, including developing test plans, creating technical documentation and assisting with technical training throughout the United States and abroad.

Duties

  • For UDS/UDMH

  • Assist in the design of the overall QA strategy

  • Design, build, and execute effective test methods/scenarios

  • Develop and maintain test scripts

  • Work collaboratively with offering/engineering/delivery during all stages of project deployment

  • Participate in all aspects of testing and communicate status of testing efforts

  • Ensure the quality and timeliness in delivery of testing assignments

  • Track, manage and remediate issues discovered during testing and deployment

  • Help train internal departments (sales, implementation, client care) to support new product launch

  • Develop and deliver end user technical training content and documentation

  • Develop and help operationalize additional delivery team validation processes in support of UDS/UDMH

  • Adhere to existing delivery processes while tailoring test plans to client use cases and configurations;

  • May assist with validation work sessions, sometimes on-site with the client

  • Document outcome of validation and testing efforts;

  • Bridge the gap between business and technology in the deployment and maintenance of UDS, SuperMart, and other technical solutions

  • Demonstrate strong competency across the product suite and work cross functionally to provide best practice configuration recommendations or adjustments;

  • Identify validation risks, root cause, and related mitigations;

  • Partner with Data Integration, Standardization, and Configuration teams to resolve issues with client products/results;

  • May assist with technical education and consulting

  • Develop and conduct application reporting or conduct business analysis from applications/VBCF

  • May provide Tier 2 support and troubleshooting assistance

This position is located in Dallas, TX or Cleveland, OH.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 2 years’ experience in healthcare technology

  • 2 years aptitude for distilling complex technical processes for business audiences

  • 2 years SQL experience, including complex join statements

  • 2 years exposure to big data technologies (Pig, Hive, Impala, HDFS, HBase, etc.)

  • 2 years ability to understand existing data models and database structure

  • 2 years understanding QA processes and methodologies

  • 2 years of strong technical and analytical aptitude including ability to understand software configuration and data structures

  • 2 years knowledge of clinical information systems/EMRs

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • 5 years’ experience in healthcare technology

  • 5 years aptitude for distilling complex technical processes for business audiences

  • 5 years SQL experience, including complex join statements

  • 5 years exposure to big data technologies (Pig, Hive, Impala, HDFS, HBase, etc.)
